This company is a small and prestigious tour company
in the Travel Industry for over 15 years.
OVERVIEW
The Director of Operations is accountable for the overall
operations, this includes negotiations with all suppliers and vendors,
insuring products are priced effectively. Manager all operations personnel
(currently a group of 17). Work closely with Product Managers and other
teams for cohesive running of company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years operations management experience w/worldwide tour programs
- Ability to effectively work with high-level product teams and others
- Strong familiarity with Tour Products and Cruises
- Expertise in pricing foreign tour products
- Strong delegation and motivation skills
- Can work within budget guidelines
REPORTING
Reports directly to President

with all levels of employees as well as external clients and vendors.

EDUCATION
The
preferred candidate will hold a Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) from a
four-year College or University; or 10 years of related experience and/or
training; or equivalent of education and experience in the travel industry
business.

performing this job, it will require:
- Eight (8) hours
or more a day of sitting; walking; standing; bending; answering the
telephone; entering data into the computer; retrieving data from the
computer or analyzing data from reports.
- This position
may require overnight travel up to 40% (including travel by car and
by airplane).
- Must have a valid
driver's license and willingness to fly on an airplane.
