This company is a diversified travel conglomerate in
the Travel Industry for over 20 years.
OVERVIEW
The Group Sales Executive is accountable for the development/
expansion of the Group Sales Department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop Group Sales & Marketing Strategies, including sales
plans and strategies for review.
- Confer with Sr. Management and Owners to develop sales objectives
for the market areas and agree on sales strategy to achieve the objectives.
- Utilize current contacts for associations/incentive/groups and affinity
business.
- Maintain personal contact with key member groups.
- Analyze reports on sales activities in order to develop new strategies
and leads.
- Submit weekly activity/call reports concerning customer-related
activities for quotes, and/or problems concerning customer/vendor
relationships.
- Provide sales forecasts on a monthly basis.
- Recommend promotional programs for potential groups.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a current Group Business
- 10+ years developing and maintaining group travel programs
- Strategic ability to effectively work with a high level product
team
- Strong familiarity with International Travel Products and Cruise
- Strong Customer Service Skills
- Strong oral and written presentation skills
- Outside sales experience in the travel industry.
- Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, self-starter, sense
of urgency, personable, extroverted personality, and well organized.
- Excellent presentations skills and computer literacy with strong
comfort level with Microsoft Office for both external reporting and
sales presentations.
REPORTING
Reports to Senior Management.

EDUCATION
The
preferred candidate will hold a Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) from a
four-year college or University; or 7+ years or related experience and/or
training; or equivalent of education and experience in the travel industry
business.

performing this job, it will require:
- Eight (8) hours
or more a day of sitting; walking; standing; bending; answering the
telephone; entering data into the computer; retrieving data from the
computer or analyzing data from reports.
- This position
may require overnight travel up to 20% (including travel by car and
by airplane).
- Must have a valid
driver's license and willingness to fly on an airplane.
