Title: Vice President Operations

Base Salary: $120,000-$150,000

OVERVIEW


THE ROLE
The role of Vice President Operations is to manage and direct all day-to-day issues including staffing, technology, marketing efforts, as well as development of all new Tour Operator business established by the company.

-Participates in Senior Management strategy meetings to develop ideas of long-range planning wholesale ventures and specific details.

-Develop and review project proposals to determine most appropriate procedures, prepare budget projections, and decide staffing requirements.

-Maintains close liaison with external sources/consultants to make sure concepts and goals of the business are achieved in accordance with the company vision and according to schedule.

-Provides technical assistance to staff on day-to-day issues and work closely with technology vendors to troubleshoot and develop resolutions to daily technical problems.

-Develops business plans, sales strategies, action plans for identified targets of opportunity that clearly define objective, goals, win strategies, schedules and action assignments.

-Manages Tour operations staff, consisting of Operations Manager and support staff.

-Work closely with Marketing Department to develop marketing plans for Wholesale Businesses.


EDUCATION
The preferred candidate will hold a Bachelor's Degree (BA or BS) from a four year college or university; or 10+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent of education and experience.


EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
• East coast residents (east coast experience and mentality)
• Working in a similar position within the travel industry or related industries.
• Strong Operations skills along with MIS and with excellent knowledge of marketing, sales, finance, administration, human resources, et cetera.
• Business acumen (business knowledge, competitor awareness, organization strategies)

• Personal organization (time management, prioritization, neat, orderly, focused, plans)

While performing this job, it will require:

• Eight (8) hours or more a day of sitting; walking; standing; bending; answering the telephone; entering data into the computer; retrieving data from the computer or analyzing data from reports.
• This position may require overnight travel up to 30% (including travel by car and by airplane).
• Must have a valid driver's license and willingness to fly on an airplane.
